Nephrologist

Seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a nephrology team in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Position Highlights: Full-time outpatient nephrology and dialysis opportunity Round on in-center dialysis patients at multiple dialysis units 3 times monthly Monitor fluid balance, clearance parameters and vascular access Manage blood pressure, electrolyte abnormalities, bone and mineral disorders, nutrition and anemia Address treatment attendance and social barriers affecting dialysis care Assist with medication management, including dialysis-related adjustments, refills and medication reconciliation Write dialysis orders for short-term travelers and new dialysis patients Manage notifications related to missed or shortened treatments, concerning vital signs and urgent clinical issues Respond to dialysis-related emergencies requiring EMS or hospital transfer Collaborate closely with attending nephrologists in accordance with state law, regulations, policies and clinical pathways Opportunity to provide autonomous, team-based care Experience in dialysis, internal medicine or another medical specialty preferred, but not required Compensation/Benefits: Competitive compensation package Salary guarantee Medical, Dental & Vision insurance Life insurance CME allowance Substantial employer retirement contribution Malpractice coverage including tail Location & Lifestyle: Enjoy the best of Idaho's Inland Northwest in Coeur d’Alene, a scenic lakeside community where outdoor adventure and an exceptional quality of life come naturally.
