Variable start times (7:00 am, 9:00 am) Night coverage may be required; shifts typically include 1 RN/1 ST or 2 RNs. On-call required, distributed every 6 weeks (up to 6–8 call shifts per 6-week period). Weekends required.

Requirements

Valid California RN license required Certifications: BLS Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in trauma, neuro, vascular, ortho, general, robotics, GU/GYN, plastics, ENT required Experience with Epic charting is required Travel experience is required First-time travelers accepted

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide patient care in the operating room for diverse surgical procedures. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and quality care. Prepare and maintain the sterile field, assisting the surgical team as needed. Assist in the implementation of evidence-based practices and protocols in the OR. Educate patients and families regarding surgical procedures and postoperative care. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and infection control measures.

Compliance / Notes

Orientation consists of approximately 40 hours. Personal information required includes SSN, DOB, and copies of certifications. Travelers may be expected to float to sister facilities; refusal may impact job status. Must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year).
