As a Wellness and Benefits Education Specialist , you will play an important role in supporting wellness initiatives, educating employees on their benefits, and helping clients maximize participation in programs that enhance employee well-being.

This position goes beyond program administration. It is about creating meaningful employee experiences through wellness education, benefits communication, and engagement strategies. In this role, you will collaborate with clients, employees, vendor partners, and internal teams to deliver educational resources, wellness initiatives, and exceptional client service that support healthier workplace cultures.

What Makes This Job So Unique?

• Track participation in wellness incentive programs, employee challenges, and educational initiatives while maintaining accurate records and reporting.
• Monitor wellness credit utilization and coordinate wellness reimbursement activities for clients and participants.
• Serve as a wellness and benefits resource by answering employee questions and providing guidance on available programs and services.
• Partner with account teams to deliver employee benefits education in both individual and group settings.
• Conduct engaging in-person and virtual presentations for employees and client groups on benefits, wellness programs, and available resources.
• Create and update educational materials, presentations, communications, and wellness resources.
• Represent BSI at wellness fairs, benefits fairs, open enrollment meetings, and client-sponsored events.
• Conduct basic health screenings, including blood pressure and BMI measurements, while providing wellness education and program information.
• Promote participation in wellness initiatives and encourage employee engagement through educational outreach efforts.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendor partners to ensure wellness and educational materials remain accurate and up to date.
• Assist with the development and distribution of wellness communications, promotional materials, and program resources.
• Support ongoing wellness initiatives and special projects as assigned.

Qualified Candidates Should Possess

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, Communications, Business, or a related field; or a minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
• Basic knowledge of health insurance, employee benefits, and Health Savings Accounts (HSAs).
• Experience conducting wellness screenings and providing health education in a workplace or community setting preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. [Superior written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person, virtually, by phone, and in writing.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with Adobe, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Google Drive.
• Strong relationship-building skills with clients, employees, vendor partners, and internal stakeholders.
• High energy level and the ability to work effectively under pressure while balancing multiple projects and frequent interruptions.
• Life, Accident, and Health Insurance licenses, or the ability to obtain them within six (6) months of employment.
