Quality Control Technician

Then join us in North Grafton, MA! What You’ll Do The position of Quality Assurance Technician is involved in a series of activities related to the control of our key manufacturing processes. This position reports to the Production Foreman. The responsibilities include a mixture of process development work, reviewing test results, and assisting in the management of designated critical processes. This position is Monday – Thursday from 3:00 pm – 1:00 am with occasional hours required on Fridays. There is a 90-day probation period for this position. Assist management throughout the plant with processes Perform quality assurance tests including bulk density tests, magnetics tests, and grading tests Review and record test results using computer programs Read quality control (QC) tests and consult with Production Foreman to make adjustments accordingly to maintain specifications and report bad results immediately What You’ll Need Possess a High School diploma, Trade School or Vocational High School Diploma Ensure quality standards are maintained to meet product specifications – ensure all material is tested Follow plant policies and procedures as directed by management Follow all prescribed safe work methods and work injury free Have strong commitment to safety, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and strong computer skills Speak, read and write in English – Spanish is a plus Have a basic understanding of general industry work and safety practices Use basic hand tools, e.g. wrenches, screw drivers, mallets Perform basic math calculations Lift a minimum of 50lbs. and stand / walk up to 10 hours a day Who We Are Washington Mills is built on values that matter.
