Pay Rate

• Salary Range: $100,000–$120,000/yr (based on years of experience; lower end for 1–10 years overall experience, higher end for 15–20+ years)

• Sign-On Bonus: No Sign-on

• Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case basis

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida or recognized Multi-State Compact license required

• 3–5+ years of strong, recent acute care Emergency Services nursing experience required

• Recent acute care ER leadership experience required (ideally 2–3+ years; prefer Assistant Nurse Manager, Supervisor, or Manager experience; will consider strong Charge Nurse experience)

• BLS required

• PALS or ENPC required

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• ACLS, TNCC, NRP, and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) preferred

• Strong background in throughput management, nurse mentorship, patient experience recovery, and high-acuity emergency care

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily departmental operations, clinical care delivery, and nurse staffing to maintain quality and safety standards

• Manage admissions, transfers, and discharge workflows to streamline patient throughput and reduce emergency department wait times

• Lead, mentor, and evaluate department personnel, managing employee relations, staff development, onboarding, and retention initiatives

• Support evidence-based clinical practices to minimize clinical variation, drive quality outcomes, and align with hospital benchmarks

• Drive patient experience initiatives by tracking satisfaction metrics, resolving patient concerns, and executing service recovery protocols

• Maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines, Joint Commission standards, and internal hospital policies

• Manage department operating expenses, productivity targets, equipment maintenance, and supply utilization to identify cost-saving opportunities

Additional Position Details

• Facility Size: 523 Beds (Full-service acute care center, Comprehensive Stroke Center, Accredited Chest Pain Center)

• Unit Details: 32 Main ER beds + 11 Care Path beds

• ED Volume: ~130 patients per day (high-acuity environment)

• Team Structure: 55 FTEs; direct reports include 4 Clinical Nurse Coordinators (CNCs / Assistant Nurse Managers)

• Reporting Hierarchy: Reports directly to the Director of Emergency Services (supported by an Administrative Director of ED, ACNO, and CNO)
