- Must be willing to float to PCU unit as needed

Description:
This is a 22-bed adult medical-surgical oncology unit.
The typical patient population includes patients recovering from surgeries, wounds, sepsis, pneumonia, diabetes, COPD, chest pain, acute kidney injury, dialysis, alcohol withdrawal, liver failure, oncology issues, and end-of-life care.
The daily patient ratio is six patients per nurse.
Floating within the hospital is required, with rotation among staff.
The facility employs interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, transportation, and unit secretaries.
Nurses will be expected to manage various tasks including accessing and managing ports, administering blood products, managing colostomies and ileostomies, starting and maintaining IVs, performing phlebotomy, and providing wound care.
COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are required.
Medical and religious exemptions and declinations are allowed.
Expectation to work some holidays and weekends in rotation with staff.
Must have experience with telemetry and rapid response/code teams.
Preferred skills include managing surgical drains and pre/post hemodialysis management.
Experience with the Meditech charting system is preferred but not mandatory for all positions.
Must be comfortable with a high patient-care ratio and floating within the hospital.
