Opportunity Overview Accountant position based in Houston, TX. 1‑year contract assignment (W‑2). Prepare schedules and journal entries for different agencies and states. Report to onsite Manager. Responsibilities Prepare schedules and journal entries. Prepare monthly state and federal reports for the following agencies: General Land Office (GLO), Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (LDNR), Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR), Commissioner of Land Office (CLO), Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC). Prepare severance tax filings for the following states: Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma. Maintain tax rates and new setups within ERP. Record severance tax reimbursements related to marketing fee adjustments. Calculate and process owner interest payments. Assist with owner inquiries. Develop cross‑departmental relationships to ensure information flow. Qualifications 4‑year accounting degree. 15+ years of experience. Experience preparing schedules and journal entries.
