The Maintenance Mechanic is a key technical resource responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex print machinery and equipment. This position focuses on equipment reliability, root cause analysis, and preventative maintenance to support continuous production, improve uptime, and maintain safety and quality standards. What You’ll Do: Provide mechanical and electrical support. Provide technical assistance to operators and supervisors. Read and understand basic electrical control schematics, diagrams, manuals and electrical prints to repair machinery/equipment. Conduct preventative maintenance programs or a proactive approach to minimizing downtime and improving production equipment reliability. As required, perform minor plant maintenance duties including (but not restricted to): replace air conditioning filters, inspect fire extinguishers, replace light bulbs, maintain all company tools in toll crib, perform minor machine maintenance, painting, carpentry, errands to pick up parts, and work with experienced maintenance personnel on large‑scale jobs. What You Bring: High School diploma or equivalency. 3‑5 years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a print, manufacturing, or packaging environment, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems. Troubleshooting expertise across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues. Forklift certification or experience required. Baler experience preferred but not required. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including electrical schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and work orders to support complex equipment repairs. Mathematical ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Physical Requirements: Walk 20 % of the time; stand 80 % of the time; lift, push, pull or carry 25–50 lbs. and more; stand for extended periods; move materials weighing 500–750 lbs. using manual pallet trucks. Lift, move, and position materials throughout the workday and safely operate warehouse equipment for extended periods. Frequently bend, reach, and handle materials. The Details: Job Type: Full Time Shifts Available: 1st shift (8:00 am‑4:00 pm), 2nd shift (4:00 pm‑12:00 am) with 12 % differential.
