Warehouse Associate

This temporary Warehouse Associate role focuses on supporting a high-volume production rework project by safely handling, opening, and transferring bagged materials into supersacks. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, performing repetitive lifting and material handling tasks while maintaining accuracy and adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Open and empty bags of material into supersacks according to established procedures.
• Lift and handle bags weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Process a large volume of units (approximately 10,000 bags) as part of a production rework project.
• Maintain accurate handling of materials to ensure correct product flow and prevent contamination or loss.
• Support general warehouse tasks such as picking, packing, loading, and packaging as needed.
• Follow inventory control procedures and help maintain organized storage areas.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and use proper lifting techniques to minimize risk of injury.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards throughout the shift.
• Communicate any issues, shortages, or safety concerns to the appropriate team members in a timely manner.

Essential Skills

• Previous general production experience.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly for the duration of the shift.
• Experience with inventory, picking, packing, and general labor tasks.
• Experience with packaging and loading in a warehouse or production environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures accurately.
• Reliability and strong work ethic in a fast-paced, physically demanding role.

• Experience with inventory control processes.
• Comfort working on repetitive tasks over extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail when handling and transferring materials.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a warehouse or production team.

Work Environment

This role is based in a warehouse environment without air conditioning, where temperatures may fluctuate depending on the weather. The standard schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with work focused on physical, hands-on tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials. The environment is fast-paced and production-oriented, with frequent standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motions throughout the shift.

This is a Contract position based out of Channelview, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.56 - $18.56/hr.
