Job Title: Electrical Engineer - Syracuse, NY

Job Description

Collaborate in an Agile environment with other engineering disciplines and program personnel to perform engineering research, design, development, modification, and evaluation in support of complex systems and their components, equipment, sub-systems, and networks. Conduct trade studies, perform dynamic analyses, allocate and trace requirements, develop algorithms, author test procedures, verify requirements, integrate and test, perform root cause analysis, resolve defects, interface with vendors and customers, and interact with engineers of other disciplines to deliver quality products.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to research and design complex systems.
• Conduct trade studies and dynamic analyses to evaluate and improve system components.
• Develop and verify algorithms and test procedures.
• Integrate and test systems to ensure quality and performance.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve technical defects.
• Interface with vendors and customers to ensure project success.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
• Experience with Analog/Digital Circuits.
• Hands-on testing and troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with common laboratory engineering tools including logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, digital multi-meters, and other support equipment.
• An active US Security Clearance (Secret or higher).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Matlab and integration testing.
• Proficiency in using oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.

Work Environment

Located in Syracuse, NY, the campus is large with secured areas. Approximately 1600 people are based in Syracuse, with over 700 in the engineering department. The Systems Engineering group consists of about 180 people across requirements, system integration, system test, and special systems. The work schedule follows a 9/80 pattern with flexible hours. The role offers the opportunity to work on exciting programs involving both legacy and new technologies. This is a Contract position based out of Liverpool, NY.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Liverpool,NY.
