Automation Engineer - Drives & ControlsWe have an Automation Engineer - Drives & Controls opportunity available with our established automated equipment manufacturing client near the Syracuse, NY area. This is a direct hire opportunity.Compensation & Benefits:Attractive base salary + bonus planStraight time pay for any hour worked over 45 in the work weekAutomatic 401K company contributionComprehensive benefit package includes: medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays etc.Company Overview:Leading Custom Original Equipment ManufacturerGlobal Sales Approaching 500M1,000+ Employees WorldwideYour Role with the Company:Controls Software DevelopmentPLC programming (Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagrams)HMI developmentPLC network architectureAC/DC drive configuration and legacy controls integrationTesting & CommissioningSystem testing and validationMachine startup and commissioningRemote and on-site troubleshooting and technical supportEngineering & Project SupportTechnical documentation and reportsSales technical support and application studiesCross functional collaboration and customer interaction throughout project executionBackground Profile:BS in Engineering3–5+ years of controls or automation engineering experienceExperience programming Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLCsStrong knowledge of AC/DC drive systems and industrial control networksExperience with HMI development and supervisory control systemsFamiliarity with AutoCAD and industrial automation softwareAbility to travel approximately 30%, including domestic and occasional international travel
