Key Qualifications:

• Active GaPSC Special Education Certification covering SPED content through 8th grade
• Adapted Curriculum Endorsement (or pending credentials considered)
• Previous experience with self-contained, lower functioning classrooms is highly desirable
• Strong commitment to individualized instruction and collaborative teamwork

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing specialized instruction in a self-contained, functional curriculum classroom
• Differentiating lesson plans to meet students’ varied needs
• Working closely with a team of paraprofessionals and a Registered Behavior Technician
• Participating in pre/post planning and ongoing parent communication
• Ensuring compliance with IEPs and district mandates
