Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Active GaPSC Teaching Certificate with both Special and General Education Endorsements appropriate for Pre-K
• Classroom experience as a Special Education Teacher or Paraprofessional preferred
• Skill and comfort working with young children who may be non-verbal, require assistance with toileting/diapering, and feeding
• Ability to employ patience, positivity, and creative strategies to support students’ diverse needs
• Collaborative spirit, strong communication skills, and a passion for early childhood development

Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and interventions for special education Pre-K students
• Assist with daily routines, including toilet training, diapering, and mealtime support as needed
• Implement strategies to support communication and behavioral growth in students with low verbal ability
• Adapt lessons to meet the unique developmental milestones and abilities of each child
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, families, and related service providers to create a nurturing, inclusive classroom
• Maintain detailed records on student progress, behaviors, and care requirements
