Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education Pre-K program is seeking a dedicated professional to join their team and help make a difference for children ages 3-5. This role is full-time, spanning from August 4th, 2026, through May 21st, 2027, at a highly supportive elementary school environment.

Qualifications:

• Valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate with both Special Education and General Education Endorsements, specifically covering Pre-K age ranges
• Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher or Paraprofessional in a school setting is preferred
• Effective communication skills to interface with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Experience supporting non-verbal learners or those with limited verbal ability is an asset
• Comfort with assisting preschool-aged children in areas such as feeding and toileting/diapering
• Ability to manage behaviors with empathy and consistency

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and individualized learning opportunities for Pre-K students with moderate to significant needs
• Support children through toilet training, diapering, and feeding, practicing patience and compassion
• Implement strategies that encourage communication and foster independence among students
• Work collaboratively with fellow educators, therapists, and families to deliver optimal care and instruction
• Maintain thorough documentation per school and regulatory guidelines
