Travel Telemetry / Stepdown Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Nights)

Contract | Travel | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13–26 Week Assignment | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to perform direct patient care activities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all age groups
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
• Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
• Function within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice and the Missouri Nurse Practice Act
• Perform physical tasks including standing and walking for most of the shift, lifting and pushing patients on stretchers and in wheelchairs

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri licensure
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Telemetry, Stepdown, or Emergency Department (Level 3, Level 4, or Critical Access)
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• NIHSS certification required prior to start date
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in trauma and/or pediatric care settings
• High-acuity experience in a high-volume environment (200+ patients per day)
• Demonstrated ability to work in a determined, decisive, and flexible manner in fast-paced environments
