AVEVA is working through a transformation programme, moving towards dual reporting (IFRS and US GAAP) and ensuring our current controls framework meets Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. This role will play a critical part in that journey.Responsibilities:Perform global scoping assessmentsCoordinate and manage the organisation and preparation of walkthroughsPerform internal control testing to meet the design and operating effectiveness requirements of SOXWork with colleagues from international locations and our co-source partner to ensure the global and consistent approach of control design and testing is applied throughout the organisationCollaborate with the GPOs team to ensure global processes and controls are consistently applied across the different regionsWork effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organisation including – global members of the internal control team, business owners, finance, IT, Internal Audit, Global Process OwnersEnsure evidence supporting critical controls has been retained and uploaded to the appropriate systemIdentify and report concerns relating to the design and operation of controlsHelp prepare status and audit finding reportsHelp manage the relationship with Internal AuditHelp manage the requirements of the External Audit team including evidence collationHelp management the requirements of our co-source partner including evidence collationSkills & Qualifications:Ideal skillsExperience of working in an audit function, either in Internal Audit, External Audit or Controls functionExperience of testing SOX controls, with understanding of latest PCAOB requirementsStrong understanding of testing and sampling methodologyKnowledge of IFRS accounting standardsQualification by relevant governing body (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)Ability to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholdersStrong organisational skillsCollaborative approach, with strong multi-cultural empathyExcellent communication, both written and verbalPositive attitude and comfortable managing ambiguity and conflicting prioritiesConfident, motivated and self-starterHigh professional ethics and commitment to improving risk cultureProficient with Excel/Power BI/data scripting/queryingDesired skillsExperience of US GAAP accounting standardsPrevious experience of working with OracleExperience of driving automation/data analytics/AI in testingUK Benefits include:Flexible benefits fund, emergency leave days, adoption leave, 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), pension, life cover, private medical insurance, parental leave, education assistance program.It’s possible we’re hiring for this position in multiple countries, in which case the above benefits apply to the primary location.
