Senior Revenue AccountantAs a Senior Revenue Accountant at Strata, you'll own critical revenue and accounts receivable processes for a rapidly growing financial technology company. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you'll combine technical accounting expertise with analytical rigor to ensure revenue is recognized accurately under ASC 606, reconciliations remain accurate, and our financial close stays efficient as the business scales. Your work directly supports month-end close, audit readiness, and business decision-making across Finance, Sales, and Operations.Strata is in a growth phase, which means our financial close speed, data accuracy, and revenue recognition rigor directly enable M&A strategy, financial reporting, and operational decisions. This role is the backbone of that—you'll see the direct impact of your work within weeks.Core ResponsibilitiesEvaluate customer contracts and collaborate with Sales to ensure Salesforce opportunities map accurately to company revenue recognition policy and ASC 606 requirementsPrepare and maintain contract deferred revenue schedules, as well as commission accounting and performance obligation trackingRecord revenue-related journal entries and resolve revenue recognition inquiries from internal stakeholdersBuild financial analysis and support materials for revenue audits and accounting reviewsOwn reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, particularly accounts receivable, contract assets, deferred revenue, and related accrualsPrepare and maintain recurring journal entries; coordinate month-end close timeline and deliverablesPrepare revenue related disclosures for financial reportingSupport year-end close acceleration and audit readiness efforts, including documentation compilation and automation projectsValidate Salesforce-to-NetSuite revenue workflows; escalate system issues and recommend process improvementsReview revenue arrangements in NetSuite and compare to revenue arrangements to ensure proper revenue recognition within NetSuitePartner with Enterprise Applications on system automation and integration workSupport Sales Ops on subscription billing, contract interpretation, and revenue cycle questionsWork with Growth and Payroll on commission workContribute to special projects and ad hoc analysis as assignedEstimated Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000 Actual salary will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to, skill set and level of experience. This salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Strata also provides discretionary variable pay programs based on role.
