Environmental Compliance Manager

yWe are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Manage r to lead and oversee environmental regulatory compliance for the company's hazardous waste management, transportation, treatment, processing, and disposal operations .The Environmental Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that MPS Group facilities and operations comply with applicable federal, state, and local environmental requirements. This position will provide regulatory leadership and technical support to operations while maintaining a strong focus on hazardous waste management, RCRA compliance, permitting, waste characterization, regulatory reporting, inspections, and environmental risk management .The successful candidate will be a hands-on environmental professional who understands the complexities of hazardous waste operations and can effectively balance regulatory requirements with safe, efficient, and practical business operations Key Responsibiliti esRegulatory Complian ceLead environmental s.Provide regulatory interpretation and guidance to facility and corporate leadershi ntOversee compliance associated with the receipt, storage, processing, treatment, consolidation, transportation, and disposal of hazardous and regulated waste s.Ensure proper waste characterization, classification, labeling, storage, handling, and documentatio n.Provide technical oversight of waste profiles and acceptance criteri a.Review waste streams and process changes to ensure appropriate regulatory determinations are mad e.Ensure compliance with hazardous waste generator and/or treatment, storage, and disposal facility requirements, as applicabl e.Support management of hazardous waste manifests, land disposal restriction requirements, operating records, and related documentatio n.Partner with Operations and Technical Services to resolve waste characterization and acceptance issue s.Assist in evaluating new waste streams, customers, processes, and treatment technologies from an environmental compliance perspectiv e.Permitting & Regulatory Reporti ngMaintain environmental permits, registrations, plans, procedures, and compliance schedule s.Coordinate preparation and submission of required regulatory reports and notification s.Oversee applicable RCRA, air, wastewater, stormwater, SPCC, EPCRA, and other environmental reporting requirement s.Ensure permit conditions are incorporated into facility operating procedures and employee responsibilitie s.Track permit modifications, renewals, regulatory commitments, and agency correspondenc e.Support permit applications, modifications, renewals, and negotiations with regulatory agencie s.Audits, Inspections & Enforceme ntConduct and/or lead environmental compliance audits and facility inspection s.Identify regulatory gaps and develop corrective and preventive action plan s.Track findings through resolution and verify effectiveness of corrective action s.Prepare facilities for inspections by EPA, state environmental agencies, DOT, and other regulatory authoritie s.Serve as a key company representative during environmental inspections and regulatory inquirie s.Coordinate responses to agency notices, information requests, violations, and enforcement matter s.Work with legal counsel and senior leadership when significant compliance or enforcement issues aris ntProvide environmental compliance support for spills, releases, permit exceedances, waste handling incidents, and other environmental event s.Lead or support incident investigations and root-cause analysi s.Ensure appropriate regulatory notifications are made within required timeframe s.Develop corrective actions to prevent recurrenc e.Maintain appropriate incident records and regulatory documentatio s.Operations & Field nsRequir edBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical disciplin e.7+ years of environmental compliance experien ce, with significant experience in hazardous waste management, environmental services, chemical manufacturing, waste treatment, or a related industr y.Strong working knowledge o f RCRA hazardous waste regulations and requiremen t s.Demonstrated experience with environmental permitting, regulatory reporting, audits, inspections, and corrective action s.Experience working directly with federal and/or state environmental regulatory agencie s.Strong understanding of hazardous waste characterization, manifests, storage requirements, waste profiles, and regulatory documentatio n.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skill s.Excellent written and verbal communication skill s.Ability to work effectively with both corporate leadership and front-line operation s.Ability and willingness to travel between facilities and customer location s.Preferr edExperience working for a hazardous waste management, environmental services, or waste treatment compan y.Experience wit h
