About the Role

The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its philanthropic consulting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for engaging with the Clients to develop and execute their philanthropic mission, with a focus on climate change mitigation. This role involves providing strategic leadership, managing the organization's staff and administrative functions, and overseeing the Clients' grantmaking portfolio. The Executive Director will also be expected to represent the Clients in various external forums, establish and maintain partnerships, and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in climate and energy policy, nonprofit management, and a proven ability to communicate complex information effectively. They must be a strategic thinker, a collaborative leader, and a dedicated advocate for the use of philanthropy to address the challenges of climate change. Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of relevant work experience, with a preference for interdisciplinary backgrounds. Specific qualifications include a deep understanding of climate change mitigation, energy policy, and U.S. national and state policy-making processes. The role requires a high level of discretion, the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, and a commitment to long-term, results-driven work. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, a team player, and a natural coach and mentor, with the ability to foster a strong sense of community among colleagues, partners, and Clients.
