About the Role:
American Aircraft Products Inc. is looking for a skilled Check and Straightener to join our team in Gardena, CA. This is a hands-on role at the heart of precision aerospace manufacturing, where your attention to detail and craftsmanship directly impact the quality of our products. Responsibilities:

• Inspect and check metal parts, assemblies, and components for dimensional accuracy and conformance to specifications
• Straighten bent, warped, or misaligned aerospace parts using presses, hand tools, and straightening equipment
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to verify part geometry
• Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators
• Document inspection results and non-conformances in accordance with quality control procedures
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to identify and resolve part defects
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with shop standards

Requirements:

• Prior experience in aerospace, sheet metal, or precision manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators)
• Experience operating straightening presses or similar equipment is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift parts as required by the role
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented shop environment
