Physical Therapist I, CF – Pelican Bay State Prison (PBSP) Location: Crescent City, CA – Del Norte County. Position number: JC-519335. Hours: 20 hours per week (part‑time). Monthly salary range: $2,855.00 – $4,236.00 . Under the clinical direction of the Chief Medical Executive and the direct administrative supervision of the Chief Support Executive or Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II, the Physical Therapist I, CF administers physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatments to patients in the correctional facility. The PT interprets the significance of physical therapy services to patients, complies with all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and departmental policies, and maintains order and safety for incarcerated persons and property, as well as the security of work areas and materials. Responsibilities Administer physical therapy treatments and therapeutic modalities to patients. Interpret the significance of physical therapy services to patients. Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, regulations, and departmental policies. Maintain order and supervise the conduct of incarcerated individuals. Maintain safety of persons, property, and security of work areas and work materials. Minimum Qualifications Possession of legal requirements for the practice of physical therapy in California as determined by the California Medical Board. Eligibility for the Physical Therapist I, Correctional Facility, including passing the required examination as specified by CalCareers.
