Paws & Claws Pet Medical Center is seeking an Associate Veterinarian (DVM) to join our welcoming and collaborative team in Troutdale, Oregon , just minutes from Portland and the Columbia River Gorge. We are open to both full-time and part-time veterinarians , with scheduling flexibility ranging from 1–4 days per week. Mondays are needed, but we are happy to build a schedule that supports your ideal work-life balance.

Our experienced veterinarians routinely perform surgery. However, we also welcome veterinarians who prefer to focus on wellness, internal medicine, urgent care, or companion animal practice.

Qualifications

Required

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college of veterinary medicine, or equivalent certification for international graduates
• Successful completion of the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
• Active Oregon veterinary license in good standing, or ability to obtain licensure prior to start date

Preferred

• Experience utilizing digital radiography, dental radiography, and in-house diagnostics
• Experience in small animal general practice, urgent care, or companion animal medicine
• Interest in exotics medicine
• Interest in surgery and dentistry
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach to medicine

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
