Tax Preparer

Our client is a public accounting firm. They seek a Tax Preparer to join their Manhattan, NY office. Responsibilities Compile Individual, Partnership, and Corporate Income tax returns Coordinate Foreign filings, including FBARs, Form 1116, 5471, 5472, and related documents Process sales tax returns for clients across various industries Prepare Commercial rent tax returns for clients in multiple industries Review and respond to government notices on clients’ behalf Maintain and analyze fixed asset schedules and related depreciation Evaluate income statements and balance sheets for accuracy and insights Develop tax planning strategies, estimates, and participate in planning for complex clients Perform quarterly and annual tax provision calculations, assist with disclosures, test deferred tax balances, and reconcile tax filings to the provision Draft research memoranda, written correspondence, guidance, and other documents for submission to the IRS or other tax authorities Requirements 5-7 years of experience with tax returns Public accounting or CPA firm experience Understanding of FBAR reporting, PFIC reporting, and other foreign jurisdiction reporting is a plus Knowledge of ProSystem Fx Tax, Engagement, and/or Fixed Assets is a plus Working knowledge of MS Excel and Word CPA preferred Job ID: #46692 #J-18808-Ljbffr
