Substitute Cafeteria Helpers-Child Nutrition
The Akron Board of Education announces openings for substitute cafeteria helpers in child nutrition. Job code 821, time schedule 370 (187 days) as and when needed basis (average 20-25 hrs. week). Hourly rate: $15.39/hour. This is a school employees retirement system position.

Qualifications: Required: high school diploma or G.E.D.; must satisfactorily complete bureau of criminal investigation and FBI background checks; dependable transportation; landline or cell phone. Desired: foodservice experience.
Position description: This position is routine, but responsible work in the preparation of meals for school cafeterias. Basic mathematics, computer, and money handling skills; performs various physical tasks related to food preparation, service and cleaning; ability to work quickly, accurately, and neatly; follows all food safety and sanitation requirements; interacts in a positive manner with students, faculty, and coworkers; operates foodservice equipment, computerized register; frequent and regular requirement to lift (40 lbs.), stand for extended periods, walk, talk, hear, see, read, speak, stand, bend, reach and stoop.
