Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience required in high acuity environments. License: Current compact license required. Certifications: Required - BLS, NRP. Preferred - ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate. Must-Have: - Must have current supervisory references. - Must pass clinical review. - Experience with electronic fetal monitoring. - High-risk experience and ability to work in fast-paced environments. - Ability to float to postpartum and antepartum. - CANDIDATES MUST provide newborn care including eye care, thigh assessments, and Vitamin K injections. Description: We are seeking a dedicated registered nurse specializing in labor and delivery. Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a high acuity and fast-paced environment. High-risk experience is highly preferred, but 3 years of relevant experience may be considered. The role will involve functioning in the capacity of a baby nurse during deliveries and continuing care for newborns until transfer to postpartum. Responsibilities will include circulating during deliveries and providing newborn assessments and necessary care. Daily average census includes approximately 15 patients and 500-600 deliveries per month. Staffing will comply with AWHONN guidelines and best practices. The unit operates with a high volume of cases and requires staff to manage diverse patient diagnoses. Candidates must be prepared to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
