Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3-5 years required in high acuity and high pace environment License: Active compact license required Certifications: BLS, NRP Must-Have: - Current supervisory references - Proof of required certifications with submission - Proof of current Nursys - Experience with circulating and providing newborn care - Ability to work in fast-paced, high acuity environments Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. This position involves working in a high-risk, high-volume environment. You will be responsible for assisting with high-risk deliveries and vaginal deliveries. Functions include caring for newborns during delivery and until transfer to postpartum. Candidates must circulate and perform newborn assessments, including administering Vitamin K injections. Experience with electronic fetal monitoring is required. You will float to postpartum and antepartum as needed. The average daily census is 15 patients with 500-600 deliveries per month. The unit consists of 31 rooms and beds. Work weeks consist of every other weekend and holiday as needed. Candidates are expected to have prior charge experience. Preferred certifications include ACLS and AWHONN advanced and intermediate. All candidates must have experience handling high-risk patients. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams.
