This contract opportunity offers a flexible approach, with a caseload determined based on student needs and your experience. You’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and other professionals to help students achieve their fullest potential in academic and daily living activities. Standard weekly hours range from 37.5 to 40, supporting balanced workdays while delivering valuable, hands-on support.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
• Previous school-based OT experience highly preferred
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to perform assessments, design individualized treatment plans, and monitor student progress
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive environment for students with diverse backgrounds and needs

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to school-age children as assigned
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to guide individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Develop and implement interventions to enhance student participation in classroom and daily activities
• Document progress, maintain ongoing records, and collaborate in multidisciplinary team meetings
• Support educators and families with strategies and resources to encourage student independence
• Adapt and modify activities and environments to promote student success
