Paint Shop Custodial Supervisor

Seeking Paint Shop Custodial Supervisor for automotive manufacturing facility in Louisville, KY.

• Bilingual – Spanish-Highly preferred
• Salary is $50,000-60,000 per year
• This is a union environmment so union experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word
• No attendance issues 
• Candidate is required to cover the other supervisors shifts that they mirror when the other supervisor is on vacation and vice versa

SUMMARY
Responsible for the quality of work, and safety of personnel and subcontractors while performing routine and out-of-scope industrial cleaning operations at Host facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop TIS’ and review these safety documents with the crew routinely. This involves evaluating the safety hazards on the job and determining and enforcing the precautions, procedures and PPE needed.
• Plan and assign tasks for personnel and equipment.
• Resolves conflicts on the job.
• Evaluates and counsels’ employees on quality and safety.
• Provides directions, equipment, small tools, materials and supplies to support the crew.
• Act as a customer/client liaison.
• Investigates all incidents, including injury, illness, vehicular, property damage, sentinel event and near miss.
• Provide timely and effective feedback to employees.
• Prepare and submit job reports as directed by the Site Manager, Director and/or customer. (EOS, Man-hours and Attendance, Weekend Work Plan)
• Recommends and conducts disciplinary action when needed.
• Provides management with feedback on employee performance.
• Makes recommendations on equipment purchases, personnel needs, equipment maintenance, etc.
• Receive and stow materials and supplies received.
• Inspect equipment and small tools to ensure proper working conditions and red tag and pull out of service items that are damaged, broken or malfunctioning.
• Conduct site inspections and Safety Tours: Mod Audits, Prime Booth Audits, Conveyor Audits, etc.
• Trains and approves crew members per TIS’ and can perform all physical duties required by personnel.

• Must be able to perform physical duties associated with industrial cleaning supervision: significant walking and climbing stairs and ladders, lifting materials more than 50 pounds, bending and squatting as needed during inspections, etc.

• Supervisors must have knowledge of all equipment used on the job site as well as all personal protective equipment, safety supplies, policies and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Supervisors must have a minimum of a high school diploma and at least 1 year of industry related experience

• Previous experience in a custodial management or supervisory role is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is advantageous.
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation regulations pertinent to the custodial industry
