The Successful Candidate:
If you are looking for an exciting place to start your career, HBG Design is seeking a Junior Interior Designer with the ability to be a self-starter and to build upon skills by seeking out responsibilities and learning from past experiences and through exposure to other designers. This position requires a passion for design through research, travel, and exposure to trends, products, and spaces. The successful candidate will also possess high level analytical and problem-solving skills.
Position Responsibilities:
•\tDevelop design sketches with input from others.
•\tDetermine furniture selections while collaborating with other designers.
•\tRegularly monitor and track internal deadlines set by Senior Interior Designer to ensure timely project delivery.
•\tDevelop finishes and material boards in collaboration with other designers.
•\tDevelop the design for small projects or portions of projects with assistance from others.
Qualifications:
•\tBachelor’s degree from Interior Design/Interior Architecture program.
•\t0-3 years practical experience in interior design.
•\tExhibit intermediate knowledge of construction methods, costs, and how it relates to design and FF&E costs.
