Your duties will consist of performing various functions on rotor blades - to include receiving, moving, inspection, tear down (disassembly, sanding, scraping, etc), repair (bodywork, composite layup, painting) balancing and return to service in accordance with Airbus Helicopters, Inc. documentation and procedures. Your challenges: Primary Responsibilities: Technical: Tear Down, Clean, Inspect, Repair, Assemble and Closeout Components: 80% Receive, move, clean, inspect, repair, assemble rotor blades. Maintain a close working relationship with assigned lead regarding schedules, priorities, and availability of parts, supplies and tools. Develop a clear understanding of methods and procedures on rotor blade repairs. Able to effectively utilize all hand tools needed to execute inspection and repairs. Develop skills on cleaning, sanding, body work/filling, painting on rotor blades and related components Develop skills to enable assembly of finished products. Complete required documentation for rotor blade inspection and repairs. Ensures work complies with customer specifications, FAA regulations, manufacturer’s applicable maintenance manuals, blueprints, RDAS, etc. Customer Interface: 5% Correctly identifies customers (internal and external) and understands their requirements proactively. Looks through the eyes of the customers and goes the extra mile to serve them. Enthusiastic to support others and achieve agreed levels of service. Advocate for the customer\'s interests rather than individual interest. Logistics: 5% When aware of issues, speak up early and make them visible. Sees challenges as opportunities for improvement. Listens respectfully and shows appreciation when direction is given by team members. Takes the necessary time to question the root causes. Accountability: 5% Ensures own role and responsibilities are clear. Takes relevant decisions at their own level and ownership for their implementation. Sticks to commitments on time/cost/quality. Announce as early as possible when commitments cannot be kept. Objectives: 5% Knows, applies and promotes agreed standards. Reacts immediately when there is a deviation from the standard. Additional Responsibilities: Other duties as assigned: Your boarding pass: Education: Required High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred Trade school Experience: Required Minimum of two (2) years related experience in automotive (paint & body), aerospace, composite, wood working, and or other related skill/trade. Trade school attendance/certification may be substituted for experience. Preferred Five (5) years of automotive, aerospace, composite, woodworking, and/or other related skill/trade. SAP background. Licensure/Certifications: Required None Preferred ASE, FAA Airframe Certificate and/or other trade related certifications. Travel Required: Less than 10% Domestic and International Citizenship: Authorized to Work in the US Clearance: None Physical Requirements: Onsite or remote: 90% Onsite Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Daily Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Daily Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 50lbs/23kgs. Daily Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 50lbs/23kgs. Daily Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Daily Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer. Daily Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. Daily Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. Possible once or twice a year Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Daily Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
