Real True.Gallup Indian Medical Center (GIMC) is a 99-bed hospital in Gallup, New Mexico, on the border of the Navajo Reservation. Clinical specialties at GIMC include Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Anesthesia, OB/GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Radiology, Pathology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, and Urology. The workload at Gallup is one of the largest in the Indian Health Service with 250,000 outpatient encounters and 5,800 inpatient admissions annually. GIMC has the largest staff of all Navajo Area Client facilities. The Plateaus and mountains close to Gallup offer opportunities for hiking, backpacking and camping. There are several national mountains and parks within easy driving distance. Albuquerque, with all the services and cultural events offered in a city its size, is just two hours East of Gallup. There are many choices for cross-country and downhill skiing within 1 to 3 hours of Gallup. The city of Gallup has a population of approximately 23,000.Requirements (include but are not limited)Perform analyses of biologic and related materials in hospital, environmental, occupational, epidemiological, toxicological, or research and development laboratories; and teach medical laboratory sciences.Perform donor registration in the LIS and donor care for allogeneic, autologous, and therapeutic collections. Perform physical exam and evaluate medical history to determine donor eligibility.QualificationsNurses shall have three (3) years of nursing experience, with a minimum of two (2) years in their specialty.Must possess a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) as approved by the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory for all specialties.Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Newborn Life Support (NLS), Advanced Trauma Care Nurse (ATCN) or Trauma Nurse Critical Care (TNCC), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as approved by the American Heart Association (AHA) are required depending on the assigned unit/specialty.KurzSolutions is committed to improving health outcomes by providing well-managed companies with the top healthcare talent in the market.
