Position Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Part-Time Quality Coordinator to oversee product quality, testing, and supplier quality initiatives. This role will be responsible for evaluating new and existing products, conducting quality testing, managing product inspections, and working directly with overseas manufacturing partners to ensure products meet company specifications and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain product quality standards and testing procedures.
• Perform hands-on testing of flashlights, rechargeable products, batteries, and related consumer products.
• Evaluate electrical, mechanical, plastic, and metal components for performance, durability, and reliability.
• Review first article samples, pre-production samples, and first-time production shipments.
• Partner with overseas factories to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate third-party inspections and review inspection reports.
• Maintain quality documentation, test records, and supplier scorecards.
• Support new product development by validating product performance and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality, Product Testing, or a related field.
• Experience with consumer products, electronics, lighting products, tools, hardware, or similar manufactured products preferred.
• Knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to read and interpret product specifications and test requirements.
• Experience working with overseas manufacturers, particularly in Asia, is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter who can work independently in a small-company environment.
