Machine Operator / CNC Machining Technician

Location: On‑site

Schedule: 1st Shift - Mon-Thursday - Full‑time, stable hours, Direct Hire

Pay: $27.50 - $30.00/hr.

We’re partnering with a well‑established precision manufacturing company that produces high‑quality machined metal components. They are looking to add a hands‑on Machine Operator to their production team. This is a long‑term opportunity with consistent work, strong tooling support, and room to grow your skillset.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Set up and operate production machining equipment to manufacture metal components from bar stock
\n
• Perform machining operations such as turning, boring, threading, and facing
\n
• Read and interpret blueprints and job specifications
\n
• Select tooling, cutting speeds, feed rates, and depth of cut based on material and print requirements
\n
• Install and adjust tooling, collets, bushings, and stock‑feeding mechanisms
\n
• Make machine adjustments to ensure proper timing, chip removal, and part quality
\n
• Inspect first‑run and sample parts using gauges, calipers, and micrometers
\n
• Replace worn or damaged tools as needed
\n
• Maintain quality and safety standards throughout the shift
\n
• Assist with troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor
\n

What We’re Looking For

\n
• Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or machining environment
\n
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
\n
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
\n
• Comfortable performing machine setups and adjustments
\n
• Reliable, safety‑focused, and quality‑driven work ethic
\n

Nice to Have (Not Required)

\n
• Experience setting up or operating automatic screw machines (single or multi‑spindle)
\n
• Background working with cams, gears, and automatic indexing machines
\n
• Experience with shop math and statistical process control (SPC)
\n
• Ability to sharpen tools using a bench grinder
\n
• Experience training or assisting other operators
\n
