Our Bagdad operations in Arizona offers housing at a subsidized rate, a family-friendly atmosphere and numerous amenities including an aquatic center, golf course and fitness center. Located 100 miles northwest of Phoenix, Bagdad is home to the world's first commercial - scale concentrate leach processing facility, as well as one of the longest continuously operating solvent extraction/electrowinning plants in the world.  Visit the Bagdad town website to learn more.What You Will DoProvide technical advice and guidance for all phases of assigned large/complex Engineering projects and programs, ensuring the successful conclusion of all phases within an appropriate time and at appropriate cost.Review, investigate and develop appropriate recommendations regarding assigned Engineering projectsManage projects and serve as subject matter expert (SME) on large/complex site planning/construction, expansion or modificationsProvide guidance and counsel to the site management team on applicable processes, practices, and existing/proposed local, state and federal regulationsContribute to site strategic planning and budgeting efforts for designated Engineering areasDevelop and evaluate AFE’s (Authorization for Expenditure) for capital funding requestsMay evaluate and administer contracts with vendors for the provision of services and equipmentMay represent the site on company sponsored steering committees, task forces, or teamsPerform other duties as assignedWhat You Bring To FreeportBachelor's degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and five (5) years of related experience in Engineering or related field, ORMaster's degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and three (3) years of related experience in Engineering or related fieldKnowledge of the principles and practices of EngineeringAble to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusionsSkilled in managing large/complex Engineering projectsAble to evaluate and implement new methods and techniques for operational improvementAbility to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautionsSkilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazardsAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingPreferredStrong knowledge of MSHA and OSHA regulationsSkills in reviewing, and analyzing Civil, Mechanical and electrical drawingsAdvanced degree or professional engineering (PE) certificationExperience in cost estimating for projectsExperience with project financials, including S-curves and AFEsWhat We Offer YouThe estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $105,000-$145,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
