Job Duties/Scope Of Work This position provides Engineering and Design Authority support to the HMIS Engineering Organization. Key responsibilities include: Reviewing and approving work packages and other engineering documents in support of the HMIS engineering program. Generating Facility Modification Packages and other required engineering documentation. Conducting peer reviews of engineering documents developed by other engineers. Capable of writing clear and concise engineering documents that define the activity, requirements, and expectations for the services being provided. Basic Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. A minimum of 2 years of related experience. Good verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with applicable Local, State, and Federal Codes, Regulations and Standards for mechanical installation and maintenance. Ability to obtain and maintain a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Credential badge. Desired Qualifications Experience developing and/or implementing field modifications or documents/procedures addressing mechanical maintenance requirements. Experience with WaterCAD modeling. Training and/or experience working with the AWWA, NSF, NFPA 24, and/or Washington administrative codes applicable to this work. Experience with maintenance or repair of mechanical components supporting chemical processes. Experience obtaining a consensus among diverse parties on implementing engineering solutions to problems.
