ORP’s mission is to protect the Columbia River by safely cleaning up radioactive and chemical waste contained in underground storage tanks located at the DOE Site. Provide Site Technical Support Services assistance including technical support services in environmental remediation, and related technical and administrative program management support expertise and assistance in carrying out responsibilities to plan, direct and oversee design, construction, environmental remediation, cleanup and operation of government facilities to support ORP at Hanford in the Eastern Washington (Tri-Cities - Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) Area. Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning Project Controls Specialist - Hanford Site Technical Support Candidates shall work to support requirements for ORP Site Technical Support Services and provide critical Project Controls functions to support the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning of the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant (WTP) Project’s Low Activity Waste (LAW), Balance of Facilities (BOF), and Laboratory (LAB) facilities. Support functions will also be provided to the emerging Direct Feed LAW (DFLAW) initiative and to the LBL Facility Services control account.DOE’s Direct Feed Low Activity Waste (DFLAW) approach for the Hanford tank waste treatment mission approach involves the WTP Low Activity Waste (LAW) Facility, Analytical Laboratory (LAB) and a set of 23 support facilities, collectively known as Balance of Facilities (BOF).
