Position Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Nuclear Medicine team. Responsibilities Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist administers radioactive materials to perform imaging and dynamic function studies necessary to aid physicians in diagnosis and treatment of illnesses. The technologist prepares radioactive isotopes, operates nuclear imaging equipment, and performs a variety of nuclear tests. The technologist complies with performance measures and activities to assure that patient/customer satisfaction results are consistently maintained and participates in maintaining an environment that supports our philosophy, mission, and values. Hours .9 FTE / 72 hours every two weeks working day shift, Monday‑Friday. Experience & Qualifications Knowledge of nuclear medicine standards and practices normally acquired through graduation from a formal Nuclear Medicine program approved by ARRT or NMTCB. ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification. Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and nuclear techniques, procedures, and equipment such as planar imaging, SPECT imaging, nuclear cardiology and computer processing. Demonstrates mature judgment and the ability to make appropriate decisions with a minimum of supervision. Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality with regard to the operation and interaction of the department and the hospital.
