Occupational Therapist

Qualifications Graduation from a Baccalaureate Degree program in Occupational Therapy or a M.S. Certificate accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education California Occupational Therapy License current or eligible Current American Heart Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Duties & Responsibilities: The Staff Occupational Therapist is responsible for the evaluation, planning, directing and administering of occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. The Occupational Therapist administers treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a referring physician in an effort to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability, assists patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Other Info: Work area is well lighted and ventilated. Contact with patients in a wide variety of circumstances. Exposed to noise, chemicals, communicable diseases, and hazardous materials. Wears personal protective equipment as required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to handle or feel objects, or controls; each with hands and arms.
