Skilled Laborer

REEVES | Skilled Laborer (Bridge Division)Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position of Skilled Laborer (Bridge Crew) working on the project in Rock Hill, SC location. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.Main Responsibilities:Shoveling dirt, sand, asphalt or concrete using short or long handle shovelsCutting or trimming trees and vegetation using axes, ditch blades, sling blades, chain saws or power weed trimmersDriving stakes or breaking pavement using sledge hammers, digging holes using hand-operated post hole diggersOperating hand-driven compaction devices, and brooming dirt and debris using hand broomsThese activities may take place at one or more of the following locations: asphalt plants, existing roads or streets under traffic, new roads and streets without traffic, various building sites and the office or shop facilities.Ability to work safely and follow the policies and procedures of the company.Qualifications:Must be at least 18 years of ageBilingual in Spanish is preferredPrevious experience (preferred)Available to work nights (if needed)Driving License (preferred); must have reliable transportation to and from the job sitesAbility to use hand tools and power toolsMust demonstrate excellent safety awareness, and a willingness to comply with company policies and safety standardsPeriodic evenings, nights, weekends, and overtime hours are expected. Must wear proper attire at all times including safety vests, safety glasses, long pants, above the ankle/safety-toed shoes.
