For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.Primary Responsibilities: Support commercial and captive insurance programs, including casualty liability, workers' compensation, management liability, and international coverages, through underwriting support, regulatory reporting, certificate issuance, loss history requests, contract review, risk consultation, and other risk management activitiesIdentify opportunities to streamline and automate risk management processes, workflows, reporting, and data collection activities through technology-enabled solutionsDesign and maintain dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools that provide actionable insights into insurance programs, claims activity, risk trends, and departmental performanceGather, organize, validate, summarize, and distribute loss and other insurance-related data associated with insured programsManage surety bond programVerify invoices and provide direction for payment processing for insurance programsReview insurance-related contract provisions to provide contractual risk transfer guidance to businesses on customer, vendor, and other third-party risksGather, maintain, and prepare documentation to represent insurance programs and departmental statistics and metricsOrganize, schedule, and facilitate creation of presentations for various quarterly and ad hoc meetingsGather and analyze data in support of risk management due diligence analysis for potential acquisitions and divestituresProvide consultation and guidance to businesses and program insuredsYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications: 3+ years equivalent experience in commercial property/casualty insurance or corporate property/casualty risk managementDemonstrated ability to leverage technology to improve business processes, automate repetitive activities, and increase operational efficiencyAdvanced Excel skills, including data modeling, automation, dashboard development, and analysisAbility to effectively prioritize, multitask, and manage projectsProven understanding of basic property/casualty commercial insurance principles and basic commercial insurance coverage and policy formsPreferred Qualifications: Undergraduate degree Familiarity with standard accounting practicesExperience with risk management information systems (RMIS) Industry designation such as ARM or CPCU*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
