AHS Staffing is seeking a School Services School Physical Therapist for a local contract job in Tacoma, Washington. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Physical Therapist Discipline: School Services Start Date: 09/02/2026 Duration: 44 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Local Contract Job Details Schedule: M-F, 37.5 hours per week Dates: 9/2-6/16 Setting: Float position (caseload will be determined during interview process) Location: In‑person only Key Responsibilities Assess students’ gross motor skills, mobility, strength, balance, and functional physical abilities to identify areas of need and develop individualized therapy plans. Deliver targeted physical therapy interventions in accordance with students’ IEPs, supporting mobility, access to the school environment, and participation in educational activities. Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other specialists to create supportive learning environments that promote students’ physical access, safety, and independence. Contribute to the development of IEPs by providing recommendations related to physical development, mobility needs, positioning, equipment, and appropriate accommodations or modifications.
