Job Title: RN – Labor & Delivery
Location: Bronx, NY
Type: Travel/Contract (13 Weeks)
Pay: $70 - $82 per Hour
Shift & Schedule: 3 x 11.5-Hour Shifts | 34.5 Hours Per Week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a RN – Labor & Delivery for an exciting Travel/Contract job based in Bronx, NY.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers and postpartum patients.

• Assess, monitor, and document maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery.

• Assist physicians and healthcare providers during deliveries and obstetric procedures.

• Perform IV insertions, medication administration, and phlebotomy procedures.

• Monitor patients receiving conscious sedation and respond appropriately to changes in condition.

• Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.

• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State RN License.

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.

• Minimum 2 years of Maternal & Child/Labor & Delivery nursing experience.

• Minimum 2 years of IV Insertion experience.

• Minimum 2 years of Phlebotomy experience.

• Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience.

• AHA BLS Certification.

• AHA ACLS Certification.

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.

• Primary Source Verification of RN License & Registration from NYSED.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong maternal-child health and labor & delivery clinical skills.

• Experience working in fast-paced acute care hospital settings.

• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.

• Strong documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) experience.

• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
