Title: RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D)

Location: New York, New York

Duration: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension)

Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday

Weekly Hours: 37.5 Hours

Position Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive maternal care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery. The ideal candidate will have strong maternal-child nursing experience, excellent clinical assessment skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced obstetric environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients

• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery

• Perform patient assessments and ongoing clinical monitoring

• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered

• Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy procedures

• Assist with and monitor conscious sedation procedures when required

• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

• Educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, newborn care, and recovery

• Maintain accurate patient documentation and clinical records

• Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection control, and hospital policies

• Respond effectively to obstetric emergencies and changing patient conditions

Required Qualifications:

• Active New York State RN License

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN)

• AHA BLS Certification

• AHA ACLS Certification

• NRP Certification

• Minimum 2 years of Maternal & Child nursing experience

• Minimum 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience

• Minimum 2 years of conscious sedation experience

• Strong fetal monitoring and maternal assessment skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Labor & Delivery experience in acute care hospital settings

• Experience managing high-risk obstetric patients

• Strong newborn stabilization and postpartum care skills
