Position Highlights
- Department: Hospital Access - Shoreline Medical Center
- Hours: Part-Time/34 hours (This is a benefits eligible position).
- Shift: 1st Shift, Days
- Shift Details: 2 week rotating schedule (requires every other weekend)
- Week 1 Schedule: Sunday 6:30am-3:00pm, Tuesday 10:00am-4:00pm, Wednesday 7:00am-3:30pm, Thursday and Friday 10:00am-4:00pm
- Week 2 Schedule: Monday and Tuesday 10:00am-4:00pm, Wednesday 6:00am-2:30pm, Thursday 10:00am-4:00pm and Saturday 6:30am-3:00pm
Position Summary:
Responsible for various patient-related access duties which include registering and processing patients to ensure Department and Hospital access and financial goals are achieved.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficient typing/keyboard skills
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced customer service environment
- Excellent communication skills (telephone, written, and inter-personal)
- Flexibility of hours necessary to ensure department scheduling are met
- Professional appearance
- One year experience in a hospital or medical office including insurance and medical terminology
