WAREHOUSE CLERK-Lancaster CA

Summary: Shipping & Receiving Clerk verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

1. Unpacks, examines and routes incoming shipments
2. Track and logs data for shipments
3. Schedule and track incoming material
4. Coordinate with procurement and accounting on materials for production processes
5. Distribute labels for stock and material that is being tracked
6. Performs all functions necessary to track various aspects of goods using SAP program
7. Supports the shipment of goods produced and received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production
8. Tracks rejected material and records shortages
9. Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor
10. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
11. Follows all international packaging requirements and regulations
12. Responsible for warehouse administrative duties
13. Synthesizes complex or diverse information
14. Balances team and individual responsibilities
15. Upholds organizational values
16. Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
17. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
18. Proper use of PPE and observes safety and security procedures
19. Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:

High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
