Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Description
The Quality Inspector ensures that precision-manufactured components meet strict quality and regulatory standards by performing detailed inspections, calibrations, and documentation. This role uses a variety of measurement tools, interprets blueprints and technical drawings, and supports compliance with FDA and ISO requirements in a clean, modern manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Inspect parts and components to verify they meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision instruments to verify dimensions.
- Operate and utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform detailed inspections and measurements.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine inspection criteria.
- Perform final inspections to ensure products meet all customer and regulatory requirements before release.
- Document inspection results accurately and maintain clear, organized inspection records and reports.
- Identify, document, and report quality issues, defects, or nonconformances in a timely manner.
- Support internal and external audits by providing inspection records, measurement data, and process documentation.
- Assist with equipment operation, calibration, and routine floor audits to ensure measurement tools remain accurate and reliable.
- Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles when interpreting drawings and evaluating parts.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality concerns and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Help maintain compliance with FDA and ISO standards through consistent inspection practices and documentation.
Essential Skills
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of quality inspection or related experience preferred.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ability to operate or work with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for precision inspection.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Experience performing quality inspections, quality checks, and final inspections in a production environment.
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) concepts and their application to part inspection.
- Familiarity with documenting inspection results and maintaining accurate quality records.
- Experience supporting or working within FDA and ISO compliant environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues or nonconformances.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or regulated environments, such as medical device manufacturing, is a plus.
- Background in precision manufacturing or working with complex, tight-tolerance components is beneficial.
- Comfort working with advanced inspection technologies, including CMM and other measurement systems.
- Ability to support audits and compliance activities in regulated industries.
- Interest in ongoing professional development and learning new inspection methods and tools.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $55000.00/yr.
