Job Description

The Elks Lodge 590 in Iowa City is seeking an experienced cook. Responsibilities include handling all line cooking positions, working within a team setting, following directions, adhering to set protocols and recipes. Experience cooking in a fast-paced kitchen is required.

This is a part-time position - we are flexible with scheduling and time off requests - the perfect job for a professional cook looking for some extra (high-paying) hours!


Preferences:

  • Some availability on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, as well as Saturday and Sunday mornings.  
  • Experience working in kitchens, especially in a catering, concessions, or banquet setting.

  • Integrity, Efficiency, Initiative, Hard Work and (Seasonally) Long Hours.
  • All employees should have a willingness to get your hands dirty, whereas no job is beneath you.
  • You should lead by example and have a willingness to drop what you're doing and help other team members whenever and wherever your help is needed.
  • Availability on holidays, nights and weekends.
  • A positive attitude and outlook on life.
  • A willingness to step out of your comfort zone and constantly learn.
