Veterinary Technician

Relief Veterinary Technician VCA Coast Animal Hospital seeks an experienced Veterinary Technician. RVT certification is required. Responsibilities include proficiency in phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, and surgical, dental, and anesthesia experience. The ideal candidate will also possess strong client communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to team collaboration. Salary will be based on experience. Compensation : $27-$30/hr depending on credentials and experience. Essential Functions Venipuncture Catheter placement Radiology Anesthesia monitoring Physical examinations and patient assessment Surgical preparation and assisting Dental procedures Laboratory work Pharmacy duties Patient recovery Compassionate care for hospitalized patients Qualifications Previous animal hospital experience documented Current RVT license Experience in surgery and dentistry Flexibility in hours including evenings, weekends, holidays Customer service skills, including phone Working knowledge of computers Excellent communication skillsTeam player willing to learn new techniques Benefits Competitive compensation along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, paid vacation/sick days, 401(k), generous employee pet discounts, and more.
