RRT - NICU, NightsSIGN ON BONUS OF UP TO $10,000 AVAILABLEPiedmont Macon Medical Center is a 310-bed facility providing compassionate, patient-centered care across a wide range of specialties, including:24-hour emergency roomInpatient and same-day surgery, including innovative robotic surgical proceduresSpine care and surgeryRehabilitation programsBehavioral health and substance abuse careAn advanced cardiac center offering noninvasive heart procedures and open-heart surgeryCancer care and survivorship programsRobotic surgery proceduresA birthing center for labor and delivery with access to a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care UnitThis position will be cross-trained to float between Adult and NICU.JOB PURPOSE: Performs patient assessments, general and critical care respiratory care procedures, respiratory care for newborns in Labor and Delivery, blood gas analysis and interpretation, maintenance and management of equipment and patient and family education in both adult and neonatal areas.MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Associate's Degree in respiratory therapy sciencesMINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Previous Working Experience in Neonatal Respiratory care, or successful completion of department specific orientation including skills validation of competencies for the duties and responsibilities of this level.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care and licensed by the State Board of Medical ExaminersCurrent certifications in BLS and NRP. Must be actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies in both adult and neonatal areas.ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Neonatal Pediatric Specialist credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care preferred.
