Company Overview P&E Constructors is an employee-owned (ESOP) mechanical and electrical construction firm executing large capital projects with deep roots in the industrial construction sector. Since 1946, we've delivered fabrication and installation services with a commitment to safety, quality, reliability, and client-focused solutions. Work Location & Travel Expectations This role supports projects across the United States and requires a high level of travel based on business and project needs. Candidates may be based anywhere within the U.S.; however, the selected individual should be prepared for assignments at various project locations nationwide. Travel for this position may reach up to approximately 90% . Project assignments generally last 10 to 17 months, depending on project duration and operational requirements. While assigned to a project away from home, eligible employees are provided per diem to assist with temporary living and travel-related expenses, in addition to a competitive base salary. To support project deployment, mobilization assistance may be provided, which can include mileage reimbursement or other approved travel support. Employees may also receive extended weekend rotations approximately once per month, allowing additional time for travel home. Depending on project requirements, eligible employees could be provided with either a company-issued vehicle and fuel card or a vehicle allowance to support travel needs. Position Overview The Quality Manager is responsible for leading and managing quality control activities throughout the lifecycle of an industrial construction project. This position ensures project quality requirements, plans, specifications, codes, standards, and documentation are consistently understood and executed from project award through final closeout. The Quality Manager works closely with customers, project management, field and shop teams, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to provide quality guidance, monitor compliance, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards. This role also provides leadership, training, and accountability to support a strong quality culture across the project. Responsibilities

- Develop and implement Site-Specific Quality Plans
- Develop and implement Project Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Review vendor and subcontractor RFQ templates to ensure quality and documentation requirements are addressed
- Submit Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) for customer approval
- Ensure the project quality plan is consistently followed and executed throughout the project
- Provide production guidance to installation teams regarding quality requirements
- Monitor fabricated products and advise teams on quality requirements
- Inspect Owner-supplied and purchased engineered equipment and instrumentation
- Oversee project quality surveillance and maintain comprehensive quality documentation
- Support vendor and subcontractor backcharge processes through inspections and supporting records
- Conduct and support quality audits to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Inspect punch-list items and verify completion
- Ensure all Non-Conformance items are properly addressed and closed
- Provide leadership and assurance that all required project documentation is submitted to the client
- Complete the quality section of the project closeout report and communicate results to management and estimating teams
- Participate in post-job meetings and incorporate lessons learned into future processes
- Participate in and contribute to project and team meetings
- Plan and organize quality activities by monitoring workload, establishing goals, and executing priorities
- Foster effective communication between customers, shop personnel, project managers, and field teams
- Establish clear expectations, measure progress, and take corrective action when necessary
- Make timely, quality-focused decisions that support project and department goals
- Provide training, guidance, and support to team members
- Encourage teamwork and contribute to the professional development of team members
- Promote and demonstrate the company's commitment to safety and quality
- Support project execution with a focus on achieving established quality and client satisfaction goals
- Maintain a weld reject rate of less than 1%
- Ensure punch-list completion aligns with project turnover and final completion milestones
- Ensure companies and subcontractors comply with applicable permits, licenses, codes, and project requirements
- Ensure required third-party audits are completed successfully
- Ensure project deliverables are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 10+ years heavy industrial construction experience
- 5+ years supervisory experience of large crews
- Advanced experience handling manpower and forecasting manpower
- Advanced knowledge of quality codes, standards, and certifications
- Strong understanding of project quality planning, inspections, testing, documentation, and compliance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and delegate tasks appropriately
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and, at times, stressful environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Ability to work in both an office environment and an active construction site
- The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate's qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.

- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Work in environments with exposure to noise, dust, temperature extremes, and other construction-related conditions
- Interpret technical drawings and visualize three-dimensional concepts when needed
- Maintain sufficient vision, hearing, coordination, and awareness to safely perform job duties
- Ability to work extended shifts, including up to 12 hours, in outdoor construction environments and varying weather conditions
- Maintain physical stamina and strength to perform demanding job duties throughout the workday
